Strong Showing For Datashield Partners In 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant

ITN - Gartner Magic Quadrant for EPP 2021 (3)With a clear separation in the market among the considered vendors, the newest Gartner Magic Quadrant for EPP, showcases 4 Datashield partners who are leading in this space.

Recently, Gartner released their Magic Quadrant for EPP and we saw a clear separation in the market among the considered vendors. As an industry we have witnessed a rapid evolution in this space as the requirement for visibility into the endpoint has quickly expanded with the constant threat of ransomware and malware threatening to cripple organizations. Most recently, we have seen a literal arms race with a spur of recent technology acquisitions most notably by Crowdstrike (Preempt Security and Humio) and SentinelOne (Scalyr) as this space spins into the XDR realm.

At Datashield, our primary goals are to provide quality and expert level service to our customers. As such we have been very strategic in the selection of EPP partners. We understand that not all products are created equal, and we needed partners that was forward thinking and innovative, has a customer first approach, and wanted to partner with us to provide better overall protection.

Who are Datashield's top partners from the Gartner Magic Quadrant (GMQ)?

We are pleased to see that each of our chosen partners in the EPP space made a strong showing in this most recent iteration of the Gartner Magic Quadrant.

  • Microsoft (Leader)
    • Partnering with Microsoft was a logical choice for our team at Datashield. We love the interoperability of the toolsets that we use everyday namely Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Azure Sentinel. Cloud based is key and being able to leverage the Azure data lake has obvious upside.
  • Crowdstrike (Leader)
    • Crowdstrike continues to make a huge splash in the marketplace and we have strategically positioned ourselves to support our customers through their growth. Interesting to note is the recent announcement by Crowdstrike and another Datashield partner Google Chronicle, to integrate the Falcon endpoint protection platform into Google Cloud’s Chronicle security analytics platform, VirusTotal Enterprise crowdsourced malware collection platform and Security Command Center (SCC) risk management platform. • SentinelOne (Leader)
    • We knew we made a good choice in partnering with SentinelOne and that was only confirmed when they absolutely crushed the most recent MITRE ATT&CK Evaluation. Read more here. A few key takeaways:
      • SentinelOne is the only vendor to deliver 100% visibility with zero missed detections across all tested operating systems.
      • SentinelOne delivered the most high-quality analytic detections to provide automated and instant context.
    • VMware Carbon Black (Visionary)
      • A long time Datashield partner, VMware Carbon Black has continued to by a mainstay in this space will continue to be so as they evolve post VMware acquisition in 2019. We see a streamlined licensing model and the integration into the VMware ecosystem and data lake a key component of success moving forward.

Conclusion

With so much movement in the first half of 2021 in the EPP space, it will be fascinating to watch the rest of the year unfold. Datashield is well positioned for our customers with these strategic partnerships as outlined above.
